What a year it was for Peter Hickman at this years Isle of Man TT bagging trophies, victories and records along the way!
Why is the TT so special?
The Isle of Man TT is iconic. It is well known even outside of motorcycle racing circles. The first TT took place in 1907 and has been held almost every year since. The current format takes competitors on a course around the island measuring roughly 35 miles. It is considered by many to be the toughest and most dangerous race around and unfortunately there have been a number of fatalities along the way.
Peter has always had a special place for the TT. On this first outing, he bagged the title of fastest newcomer with his record still standing.
In 2018 Peter Hickman finished the Isle of Man 2018 with a haul of silverware including a thrilling 1st in the Senior race complete with a record breaking final lap and clocking 135.492mph. Hicky also triumphed with 1st place in the Superstock race and bagged 2nd place in the Supersport race. What a week!
Hicky and EDZ
Peter has been wearing EDZ base layers under his racing leathers for many years.
Peter even made time to give EDZ a shout out on the start line of his Superstock race at the TT and he shared his views about EDZ products. Watch the video and hear it from Peter himself here:
What is next for Peter?
Peter will be continuing his season racing in the British Super Bike Championship. It has been a tough season for him on this platform but hopefully things will click into place soon.
Peter will also be competing in the Ulster GP in August 2018. We are hoping he can build on his road racing success at the 2018 TT.
